D.I.J. Construction Acquired by TRP Infrastructure Services

Optima Mergers & Acquisitions serves as exclusive M&A advisor to Texas pavement marking contractor

BERTRAM, Texas — August 20, 2026 — D.I.J. Construction, Inc., a Texas pavement marking contractor and thermoplastic materials manufacturer, has been acquired by TRP Infrastructure Services, a portfolio company of Arlington Capital Partners. Optima Mergers & Acquisitions served as exclusive M&A advisor to D.I.J. Construction.

Founded in 1983, D.I.J. Construction began as a utility infrastructure contractor installing storm sewer and wastewater lines before shifting its primary focus to pavement markings in the early 1990s. Today, the company provides road striping, pavement marking, and marking removal services across the Texas highway system. In 2012, D.I.J. expanded its capabilities with the addition of a manufacturing plant producing thermoplastic road striping material. The company operates from its Bertram headquarters and a satellite office in Kempner, Texas, opened in 2025.

The acquisition adds D.I.J.’s Central Texas presence, experienced workforce, and in-house materials manufacturing capabilities to TRP Infrastructure Services, a Fort Worth-based provider of pavement marking, traffic control, and guardrail solutions backed by Arlington Capital Partners since 2021.

“D.I.J. Construction is an exceptional business with more than four decades of operating history, a strong reputation in the Texas roadway infrastructure market, and valuable in-house manufacturing capabilities,” said Lane Carrick, Managing Director of Optima Mergers & Acquisitions, who led the engagement. “Those strengths made D.I.J. a natural strategic fit with the TRP platform, and we believe the combination positions the business well for its next chapter of growth.”

Carrick added: “Our responsibility was to serve as a trusted intermediary for our clients throughout a complex transaction with a sophisticated private equity-backed buyer. We worked closely with the owners to articulate the value they had built, manage an extensive diligence process, and represent their interests throughout the negotiations. For a family that has spent decades building a successful business, having an experienced advisor at the table can be especially important in navigating the transition from ownership to what comes next.”

Optima Mergers & Acquisitions represented D.I.J. Construction throughout the transaction, including valuation and positioning, buyer negotiations, diligence management, and negotiation through closing.
