Lane Carrick is a seasoned entrepreneur, owning, operating, and successfully navigating various businesses. Drawing on his extensive experience, Carrick brings unparalleled knowledge and expertise to client relationships at Optima. As an instructor at the SMU Cox School of Business (Business Leadership Center), his seminars on Mergers & Acquisitions and Alternative Investments have earned numerous teaching excellence awards.
Carrick's leadership roles include founding partner and CEO of Sovereign Wealth Management and founding shareholder and Chairman of the Board of Triumph Bancshares and Triumph Bank. Other activities include founding shareholder and Pharmaceutical Acquisition Panel member of Cumberland Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (CPIX - NASDAQ), and founding shareholder and Board Treasurer of B. B. King’s Blues Club on historic Beale Street in Memphis, TN.
In his recent role as a Senior Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor with a large, national M&A firm, he guided business owners through successful company sales. Carrick holds a Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree from the University of Memphis and a Master of Science degree in Banking & Financial Services from Boston University.
