#38 He Hit Rock Bottom. Then Climbed 58 Peaks in 72 Days | Chris Fisher on The Deal Table
The Deal TableAbout the episode
World record mountain endurance athlete Chris Fisher reveals how addiction, loss, and repeated reinvention built the mindset behind one of the most demanding feats in American climbing history.
He lost close friends to overdose, had his senior football season stripped away, and found himself at the lowest point of his life before he ever set foot on a mountain. After years of addiction, a recovery built one hard decision at a time, and a Navy SEAL training experience that permanently rewired how he thinks about limits, Chris went on to complete all 58 of Colorado’s 14,000-foot peaks in just 72 days — faster than anyone in history. That winter record is now permanently recognized in a mural at Denver’s Carla Madison Recreation Center.
